The talk of the NBA world prior to the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline was New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis’ trade request from the team. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and New York Knicks attempted to trade for Davis prior to the Feb. 7 Trade Deadline, but it wasn’t until June when Davis was officially shipped to L.A.
This season, in March 2020, Davis and a man named LeBron James have led the Lakers to their first playoff berth since 2013.
Davis, of course, came to Los Angeles to play with LeBron for a long time, but there was another factor which helped Davis keep his eyes on the Lakers.
On July 2, 2018, TMZ Sports reported that Davis purchased a $7.5 million home in Westlake Village, Los Angeles, California 40 miles away from Staples Center in Los Angeles. The home includes a home theater, a gym, an infinity pool with water slides, an outdoor kitchen, and an indoor basketball court. The home also has a guest house with its own bar, according to the report.
The 15,734 square foot, two-story property, which sits on a 2.33-acre lot, is an exquisite Contemporary Mediterranean architecture located within Club Estates – an exclusive gated community in North Ranch. The five-bedroom property was built in 1996 and recently remodeled to cater to modern tastes, according to TMZ.
