Isaiah Thomas Reacts on Twitter to Celtics Video Tribute 💚

Isaiah Thomas returned to Boston as a member of the Denver Nuggets to a video tribute on Monday, March 18. Thomas. Denver defeated Boston, 114-105, with Thomas seeing 6:50 minutes of action and going scoreless.

Thomas spent two of the best seasons of his career in Boston from 2015-17 before being traded to Cleveland in a blockbuster deal for Kyrie Irving. Thomas averaged a career-high 28.9 points per game, led the Celtics to a 53-29 and was named an All-Star in 2016-17 before his departure. Thomas was a beloved figure in Boston and was never the same player after he was traded.

Thomas was very emotional while watching the video tribute and admitted after the game, “I almost cried.”

Boston will always be Thomas’ home, and he continuously admits that on Twitter. Prior to the game, Thomas was seen taking photos with Celtics fans and one said “no fourth quarter [in Boston] has been the same without you.” Thomas responded, “I’ll be back.”

Thomas turned to Twitter and Instagram to thank the Boston Celtics organization and its fans for the tribute.
